About Friendship United Methodist Church
Friendship United Methodist Church has been around for over 160 years. It has been an integral part of the Monticello and Brown Summit community in the Northeast Guilford county area. We want to know God with our head, love God with our heart, and serve God with our hands. We are a Lighthouse congregation and welcome everyone!
Our Pastor - Rev. Kevin Cochran
Kevin Sean Cochran grew up in the Browns Summit community. He has a Master of Divinity from Carolina Evangelical Divinity School and is ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church. He is currently participating in the United Methodist Church Course of Study program. Pastor Kevin has served Friendship UMC and Browns Summit UMC since 2018. He is married to Malisa Barham Cochran and has two children, Sean that lives with his wife Kourtney in Salem Virginia and Sarah who lives with her husband Zeb in Wendell North Carolina. Kevin and Malisa also have Winston, an animal shelter rescue that keeps life interesting.
